Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How do you manage to strike a balance with your work and spend time with your child?
Ms. Shruti Seth:
Spending time with my child and working. That’s the way every working mom does, it’s their biggest conundrum. I sadly don’t end up getting as much time as I would like right now because I’m busy with a shoot and I’m shooting almost twelve hours a day. But I try and make sure that I see her before she heads off to school in the morning and before I leave for the shoot. And for whatever it’s worth, thank God for technology. I pretty much have video chats with her all day long so she can see me and I can see her.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have been a model, actor, host and a VJ, which role did you enjoy the most?
Ms. Shruti Seth:
In all the parts that I’ve played, I think I’ve just been fortunate I’ve been able to juggle so many things and yet stay in the same industry, so I’m very lucky that I managed to put my hand in so many pies. I think I wanted to be a VJ so of course, that was a dream come true. I became a model and an actor totally by accident. But what a wonderful accident that’s been. And of course, being up on stage, talking to a live audience has just a completely different high. So I’m glad I could do that as well.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to choose one over the other. But yes, being an actor and model has happened mostly by accident. Wanting to be a VJ was a personal desire. So maybe that could be a primary dream come true..
