Scents affect our moods, behavior, school and work performance by associating our life experiences with them. So certain scents can be liked or disliked based on our experiences. Our very first experience out of the womb is our sense of smell. The eyes not fully open, our skin covered in umbilical juice our sense of smell is the first thing that is activated on the planet. Directly linked to both our intuition and our memory, scent is the most important of all our senses.
The world today has many stress triggers visible and invisible. While preparing for The Meera Gandhi TV show on B4U TV network in both North America and UAE, I learnt that stress has made a rapid permeation into our lives and can affect everybody between the ages of 6 to 96. The good news is that once we train our minds to manage our lives, stress inadvertently reduces and slowly drifts away. Our brain is capable of handling anything provided we give it simple and effective tools to manage our lives. Meditation, yoga and exercise are very important in maintaining the mind, body and soul balance. All our senses play a vital part in every aspect of our lives. We recall memories with certain smells – could be positive and negative.
