Ms. Namita Nayyar
You are always searched on social media as the celebrity yogini and fitness influencer but how would you like to describe your work? And the part of your job that you enjoy the most
Ms. Rupal Sidhpura Faria
I would like to be described as a YOGA THERAPIST FIRST. Then a Yoga teacher, then a yoga instructor, and then a fitness trainer. Being on Social media, and being a Celebrity trainer or fitness influencer are things that came in much later.
I am glad I became a part of the industry way before any of this was important. Earlier on, the focus was only on getting into result-oriented Yoga classes.
It doesn’t shift focus now, but everything you do is always analyzed and followed. One has the greater responsibility of what you put out there even in terms of how you conduct yourself as a yoga teacher or a celebrity. I want to be approachable and available to all in need and looking for answers. I run a school of yoga. It’s been the ultimate goal to certify yoga enthusiasts and become teachers. I’m living it and loving it 🙂 Anurag, Zoya, Saif, Bebo, or Reema!!!! they’re all such fun people and very dedicated. I love the fun we have on and off the mat. It’s a mediation in itself when you get people to focus and enjoy what you make them do. My work is result oriented always. Keeping in mind what the client’s goal is, I put my whole soul into every class that’s how I prefer it.
A student learns as we teach them. What we teach and how we teach is always learning. Whereas a client tells us what their end goal is so as to teach them what they require to learn. The best part of my job is to witness this journey of a client turning into a student:)
It’s a 360-degree change for me and a turnaround for my students too.
Ms. Namita Nayyar
Being a celebrity fitness trainer, which celebrity client did you enjoy training the most? How do you plan your sessions considering their want for quick results and difficult schedules?
Ms. Rupal Sidhpura Faria
I love all my clients. Celebrities are eventually humans and they all have their off-screen time and are the most dedicated and religious in their classes with me. I’m very blessed to have trained whoever I have so far. Be it Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali khan, Genelia Deshmukh, or even Kubbra Sait. My students and clients both have an understanding of practical timelines for long-lasting results. I have never been asked for shorter timelines and faster results. It helps build faith in me and my workout and the mind and body automatically sync that way. I do have a variety of workouts depending on how they are in a class that day. They could be highly energetic or some days tired. I usually have 2-3 workouts planned per session. I select as per their mood, energy levels, requirements, etc..
I include physiotherapy, Yoga therapy, Yoga strength, Yoga Flexibility, breathwork, and face yoga of it in each of my sessions. All this comes in through my brand of workouts called Rupal’sYogasthenics

The fitness industry is also very congested at the moment what do you do to remain relevant and make your work stand out?
Ms. Rupal Sidhpura Faria
In addition to this, as I said, it’s a greater responsibility now that social media has become a medium to get knowledge. Putting the right thing out there, at the right time keeping in mind that sometimes people could with the right intention to Fitness follow what we show mindlessly, I try to only put things out there that have fewer limitations and more benefits.
It is also important to recognize your failures and mistakes through your fitness journey. I try to put it out there as much as I can. Because no one is perfect and with the growing trends, there’s a lot of pressure to get it right the first go. That’s not practical. Showing reality is a must, That’s where again my attitude comes in. I try to be the best version of myself which is unfiltered. I try not to limit myself where it’s not required nor do I go overboard. Moderation is the key. I try to engage and am approachable to whoever needs help. When people meet me outside asking Hey you’re Rupal Sidhpura Faria, I engage and enjoy how people are following whatever I do on my page 🙂
It’s also about keeping up with the trends yet not forgetting your roots as a teacher. I run a school, authentic yoga is my thing I actually enjoy the best of both worlds. Both modern and traditional forms. It’s the best.
