Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Many young girls aspire to be part of the Miss India Pageant, your piece of advice for them.
Ms. Ruhii Singh
It’s the best platform for you to gain exposure and start your journey into the modelling or acting world, and my advice would be to first analyze if you’re fit for the competition, and then just give it all in. From general knowledge to fitness to various talents that you might have, this would be the chance to showcase them. Most importantly, believe in yourself. Confidence can take you a long way not just in pageants, but in life. Just go for it!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you follow any particular diet? How often you cheat on your diet?
Ms. Ruhii Singh:
I eat everything, but in small portions. Also, I incorporate fruits and salads in my diet. Dry fruits, juices, eggs are my favourite comfort food.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Being in the industry, it is very important to be fit and most importantly look fitter, what is your fitness regime
Ms.Ruhi Singh:
I believe consistency is the key. Fitness is not a one-time event, it’s a lifestyle. I work out every day. Even if it’s just going for a 30 min run, I never skip a workout. Weight training, dance workouts, martial arts, I do it all. Also, mental health is as important as your physical health, I have joined an online meditation class which has immensely helped me during this lockdown.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What are your thoughts on “beauty with a purpose”?
Ms. Ruhii Singh:
I feel ‘beauty with a purpose’ should be everyone’s motto in life. It’s way beyond just pageantry. Our purpose and actions make us beautiful. Outer appearances fade away, what remains is your contribution to the world and humanity in general. Be a kind person, help the needy, the underprivileged, who might not be as lucky as you today. It’s a duty that we all as humans should do.
