Namita Nayyar:
You have had your share of struggles with body image and weight problems in the past. Can you share your struggles and how did you finally overcome the hurdles?
Roshni Sanghvi:
I think most women growing up in India struggle with some sort of body image issues. I was overweight and very unhealthy myself. When I started studying nutrition, I felt I had no right to tell people what to eat if I was not healthy myself. But this drove me to work harder and transform myself first. My journey was very insightful as it makes me a better coach today. I have walked in my client’s shoes.
Namita Nayyar:
Can joining a gym help one lose weight? According to you 5 lifestyle and habit changes one needs to incorporate into one’s life to heal for better?
Roshni Sanghvi:
Any fitness form can help with weight loss. The important thing is to pick something you love and stick with it. Going to the gym alone is not necessary. But the best habit I insist my clients pick up is to maintain a healthy circadian cycle. Start, with sleeping before midnight, and waking up as close to sunrise as possible.
