Transformation Duration:
2.5 Months
Who Is Niti Aggarwal?
I am an independent PR consultant dealing with mostly lifestyle and education clients. I am from Meerut but settled in Ghaziabad post wedding. Being a mass communication student, I chose my career in Public relations post my graduation from IP University, Delhi.
Why did you decide to transform your body?
I have been following the fitness and weight loss regime since 2010. Though I do not opt for dieting on regular basis but did put a ban on fast food and oily food in the starting days of my fitness schedule.
Post marriage I maintained a weight of 54 Kg with the height of 5.1 feet. During the phase of my pregnancy, I gained a lot of weight every month till the time I reached 78 kgs. Post my delivery, I guess only 4 kgs were reduced as I weighed 74 kgs when I was off from bed (after 40 days).
I decided to transform my body on a day when I witnessed how fat I was looking in designer outfits in the pictures
clicked during a family function. That very day, I took a pledge to reduce my weight anyhow in a month or two.
How your journey began?
I took up power yoga exercise and added jogging to my daily routine.
I did not chose specific diet during this period because I was feeding my baby but tried to burn as much calories as possible by exercise and jogging.
My daily routine was early morning jogging followed by yoga, finishing household work, spending time with my kid, getting back to office work and then repeat.
What dietary changes did you make? What was your typical diet in a day?
Early morning I used to take green tea and lemon. Breakfast included a glass of milk or dalia along with sandwich/ poha, vermicille/ upma/ sprouts. My lunch included a bowl of pulses, vegetable, chapati and curd. My evening snacks were usually confined to fruits or soups. I was used to take my dinner around 7 in the evening that included vegetables and chapati.
Role of Fitness & Exercise in your lifestyle
I included the fitness & exercise in my lifestyle since long in form of gym/ yoga/ walk/ jogging/ swimming but it was an on and off thing. I do compromise on eating outside food but can’t do it for long.
How do you feel now about your self?
Sometimes when I see myself in the mirror, I really get confused if this is really me. I feel so good and light and more often stand infront of the mirror. I have started admiring myself for this.
