Manu Bhaker the first Indian to win two medals in Paris Olympic

Bhaker created history on July 30 by becoming the first Indian to win two medals in the same edition of the Olympic Games in 124 years. Manu Bhaker etched her name into the sports folklore of India as she became the first female athlete to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics when she won a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event on July 30, Tuesday. Manu had earlier won bronze in the women’s 10 m air pistol event to break a 12-year drought for India in shooting at the Olympics.

With this, Manu joined Norman Pritchard as the second win to achieve the feat. Pritchard had two medals in 1900. Manu will now be in action in the 25 m pistol event, where she is considered to be a medal prospect.
