Daljeet Kaur and Jaydon Exclsuive Chat!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What has been the toughest point in your journey with your kid? How did manage to pass through it?
Ms.Daljeet Kaur:
For me, the toughest part was not giving enough time to my child, and hence “guilt”, since I had to work because I had no money, and this led to me not giving enough time to my child especially when he was sick but eventually I realized that I need to overcome the guilt because I was working to give him a better future and build our home
Ms.Namita Nayyar
How did you manage your post-pregnancy weight loss? Your thoughts on postpartum depression?
Ms. Daljeet Kaur:
I gained more weight after giving birth to Jaydon, I went through a drastic weight loss from 84 kgs to 54 kgs in 6 months which was tough due to muscle loss but I suggest women plan it accordingly post they finish breastfeeding their child, I had to do a crash course since I had to go back to my acting schedule but mothers can easily plan it and do accordingly and not stress about it.
Postpartum depression is real, I remember going through it, I used to sit on one side of the bed, used to just feed my baby and sit there, and I lost the zeal to do anything new. Therefore I suggest all the readers if you see any new mom, father or anyone lacking the zeal and energy to do something do talk to them because this might be a sign of depression, and it’s very common in new moms since they fear losing their body and energy after the child, but with talking about it with your loved ones you can overcome it.
Ms.Namita Nayyar:
Many young women do not want to have a child as they worry about it hampering their career your thoughts on the same?
Ms.Daljeet Kaur:
I honestly understand that women can be insecure about their career, but for a mother being financially sound is also very important and hence I would suggest keeping 24 hours of help so that you can coordinate with it to manage and focus on your career as well.
Ms.Namita Nayyar:
How do you manage to spend time with your kid along with your work life?
Ms.Daljeet Kaur:
I have finally learned the art of time management now thanks to online teaching, thankfully I made up for all those years when I had to leave him and go, moreover I think he understands it as well and I do not feel guilty anymore even when I have to go for work leaving him.
Ms.Namita Nayyar:
How do you plan to spend Mother’s day 2022 with your son?
Ms.Daljeet Kaur:
Haha, I don’t really do as such on the day. Maybe just buy myself a rose that day and might be when Jaydon grows up he will buy me one.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the mothers a happy mother’s day, and my message to all the fathers or family members would be to support the mothers.
Although women do not need anyone in life they are very strong on their own sometimes a little support causes no harm either!
