Ms. Namita Nayyar
Kajal you have been part of both south and Bollywood film industry, there have been recently a lot of comparisons in the industry, tell us your experience working in both and your thoughts on the comparison
Ms. Kajal Aggarwal
I started my career in the southern film industry and Telugu/ Tamil are like home to me. It feels like natural habitat when you’ve adopted the culture and treasured it so close to your heart. My main growing up and impressionable years were spent learning the languages, people, characteristics, cultures, traditions, etc. So that’s left an indelible mark on my mind forever.
Hindi, on the other hand, is my mother tongue, I was born and raised in Mumbai, and Hindi films, I have grown up watching.
I’ve always felt language has never been a barrier in acting and one can express varied emotions despite the language or even no language!
I feel both industries are very professional and in recent times, the industries blend seamlessly, sharing technicians, artists, and creativity. It’s a great place to be in, right now.

You recently embraced motherhood, tell us how has your life changed after being a Mom, and also how you manage your work with the kid.
Ms. Kajal Aggarwal
Yes! It is indeed the most exciting, exhilarating, and challenging time of my life. I want to impart the best of everything to my baby. Ensure he has the right kind of grounding, values, and morals along with exposure and a great education. We as parents should make sure we gift our children a strong foundation, nurturing, love and care. What they eventually do is then upon them!
My baby is only 2 months old so I’m still tip-toeing on the whole motherhood journey. I’m trying my best to balance work with my little one. I will start filming full-fledged from august onwards and I intend on taking my baby and help and of course, my mum with me wherever I travel to shoot. With the whole wave of covid once again, we are being cautious right now as he’s too young and we don’t want him to contract any sickness before his inoculation.

Women Fitness India talks about celebrity diets and fitness regimes, do you follow any particular diet? One delicacy that you really miss when on diets
Ms. Kajal Aggarwal
I follow a balanced diet as I’m nursing at this time of my life.
I have never been a fad diet person. I believe in balance and moderation for everything. Looking after my health and well-being has always been a priority to me and my profession adds to my desire to stay consistent and better. I usually eat a healthy meal comprising of carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber with a few moderations depending on my workout routine
