Divyanka Tripathi On Changing Dynamics In The Industry, Mental Health and The Power Of Kindness

Divyanka Tripathi, an Indian television actor got recognition in the television industry with Zee Tv’s popular drama, Banoo Mai Teri Dulhann in which she essayed a dual role. Before getting the big break, the actor won India’s Best Cinestar’s Ki Khoj from the Bhopal zone and also won the title of Miss Bhopal in 2005. But, Divyanka never had acting as her career preference.

She always wanted to be in the army. She enrolled herself in the Bhopal Rifle Academy where she won two medals in rifle shooting. Apparently, destiny had a different plan for Divyanka. Cinestar Ki Khoj opened the doors of the small screen for her. And, after Banoo Mai Teri Dulhann there was no turning back for the actor. Once the Zee Tv show went off the air, Divyanka tried her hands at comedy before getting back to the saas-bahu drama. In 2013, she once again became a star with Star Plus’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein in which she is seen in the role of Dr. Ishita Bhalla. On 8 July 2016, she got hitched to her Yeh Hain Mohabbatein co-star, Vivek Dahiya.

Recently Divyanka was seen on Khatron Ki Khiladi where she emerged as the first runner-up.

Namita Nayyar:

Divyanka, often television actress is stereotyped with the kind of role they play, nowadays a lot of actresses have broken this stereotype image of a “bahu”, your comment on the same

Divyanka Tripathi:

As far as actresses breaking the stereotypes is concerned I try hard looking for a different subject but you can only do so much. You have to choose from the jobs available in the market.
All I do is give feelers of how I’m craving to portray an Indian woman as more powerful like she is in reality & hope to tickle creative senses so they write something dynamic.
