Namita Nayyar:
What comprises your fitness schedule? Do you prefer functional or weight training?
Dia Mirza
I do a combination of both. Focussing on building strength and keeping my metabolism active. Dennis Rasaldar my trainer for many years, keeps mixing up my routine so I enjoy my workouts 4 days a week. The other thing I swear by is steps!!! Walking 10000 steps a day is a great way to stay fit.
Namita Nayyar:
Along the physical fitness, mental health is equally important, how do you keep up with your mental wellness
Dia Mirza
Meditation, breathing exercises daily, and seeking therapy whenever I have felt overwhelmed or anxious really helps me.
Namita Nayyar:
With 2023 around the corner, what are your goals and resolutions for the New Year? Upcoming projects and messages for your fan
Dia Mirza:
I am not big on new year’s resolutions, but I am definitely looking forward to 2023!!! All the work I did this year will release in 2023 and I am so excited about it. Bheed, directed by Anubhav Sinha, and Dhak Dhak directed by debutant director Tarun Dudeja (produced by Taapsee Pannu) are two films that I am so grateful and proud to be a part of.
To all the women out there, I want you to know, that no one decides your worth only you do. Refine your skills, work hard and persevere. I promise you will find yourself doing all that you love.
Namita Nayyar:
Being the cover girl for Women Fitness India, what advice you would like to give to our readers on what has been the principle that has made you stay relevant in the industry?
Dia Mirza
Following an individual path, and being authentic and honest would take anyone the distance. People care when we care. I believe in the power of action. Relevance is determined by personal action and choice. As I strive to empower myself as a woman and an artist I know that hard work and truth open up tremendous opportunities.
Namita Nayyar:
With the paparazzi culture and social media becoming so prevalent in the industry, how do keep your personal life private for you and your family?
Dia Mirza:
The paparazzi culture is only as invasive as one allows it to be. I know this for a fact because I have enjoyed the respect and love of the media for over 2 decades and while there may have been a few instances of intrusion of privacy or clickbait media reports for the large part I have been shown the respect I have given the media
