In Conversation With Bruised Passports’ Co-Founder Savi Munjal On Flights, Fitness & Food!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Many people wish to live the life you and Vid are living, one piece of advice for your fans who aspire to travel full time?

Ms. Savi Munjal:

Do it if you’re truly passionate about travelling, photography, and writing, and not because it appears cool and trendy. There’s a lot of work and effort that goes into it (just like any other job) and the constant moving around is not for everyone. But if you’re truly passionate about it, then there should be nothing that should stop you – prioritise your happiness, dive into it headlong, and enjoy the ride.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Have you ever had sick days while travelling or any trip which is your least favourite?

Ms. Savi Munjal:

Of course! There’ll always be hiccups, issues, and problems. Honestly, these adventures would not be adventures if everything was hunky dory all the time. We have fallen ill many a times but in the end it’s all about how you deal with these situations. If you have a positive mind-set then even bad days on trips can be dealt with easily. At the end of the trip, you’ll always come back with stories to tell ☺

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Lastly two advice you would like to share with someone planning a trip?

Ms. Savi Munjal:

Always use comparison engines to search for flights, hotel stays, and car rentals. Some that we use are Skyscanner, HotelsCombined, and EconomyBookings. Once you’ve booked everything, make a rough itinerary (not too rigid and fixed) as the beauty of a trip lies in being flexible. Get to your destination and talk to locals to get their recommendations and factor those into your itinerary.

Finally, enjoy the experience and don’t compare it to your “comfort zone” back home – go with an open mind and you’ll come back with memories for a lifetime.
