Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Which is your favourite travel quote and travel influencers whose work inspires you.
Ms. Savi Munjal:
Over the years we have enjoyed the work of Gary Arndt (Everything Everywhere) and really enjoy travel photography of Daniel Kordan.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
In India, travel blogging is still an upcoming career option, what was the reaction of your parents when you decided to take this conventional career choice?
Ms. Savi Munjal:
As you can very well imagine, it was difficult to convince everyone around us that we’d rather prioritise our happiness over lucrative corporate jobs in London. Thankfully, our parents have always been open to change and dialogue, and they understood our intentions and our pursuit for happiness. Over the years, they have grown with us and are now the biggest supporters of Bruised Passports.
We have always, and will continue to, encourage everyone around us to follow their dreams, take that leap of faith, and work hard towards their goals.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What are the pro and cons of being full-time travel bloggers?
Ms. Savi Munjal:
This can be very subjective, but for us, the biggest pro is that we have made our passion our work. We can work from anywhere in the world (given there is good Wifi and coffee ☺) and we get to experience some amazing places whilst we are working.
The biggest con is that there are no fixed working hours which means you could be on your laptop at midnight or up early at 4:30 a.m. to get on a conference call, but over the years we have learnt to maintain a balance and we strive not to touch our laptops after 6 p.m. While we love it so far, but the constant moving around and the change in time zones can become tedious for some.
