In Conversation With Bruised Passports’ Co-Founder Savi Munjal On Flights, Fitness & Food!

Letting go of the everyday life and running off to explore the world with your loved one is a dream many harbour. However, most of us have to abandon this dream as we get stuck in our daily lives. Well that’s not the case with Savi and Vid, the travel bloggers who go by the name Bruised Passports.

Savi and Vid are digital entrepreneurs and full-time travellers. They have visited over 90 countries together till now. Their adventures and photographs have been featured on several TV channels and newspapers, including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, and BBC and they have won several awards for their work in the travel blogosphere.  Their website www.bruisedpassports.com and social media channels (@bruisedpassports) are changing the way people approach travel

As we end the year 2019 and get ready to welcome the New Year, Women Fitness India brings to you an exclusive sneak peak into the life of the Bruised Passports’ couple, Savi & Vid!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Savi you hold a PhD in visual arts and literature and left your full-time job, to pursue your dream of travelling across the globe, and here you are living the life of your dreams. Tell us how the journey has been now that you look back?

Ms. Savi Munjal:

It’s been a very fulfilling journey for the both of us. We had always been very passionate about travelling and had envisaged this location independent working model for ourselves more than a decade ago (and made conscious choices and decisions to achieve it) and are so happy to have accomplished that. That said, something worth having does not come without its fair share of sacrifices and compromises, but overall we are thrilled to be living this life and wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s still lots to be done and achieved on this journey, but we want to make sure we savour and cherish each and every milestone as we go along instead of trying to accomplish everything in very little time.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Since you travel full time do you ever face problems while trying out different cuisines and also how do you maintain your diet?

Ms. Savi Munjal:

Not at all. In fact, one of the foremost reasons for travelling for us is to sample different cuisines. We firmly believe that after a point landscapes and sights start becoming repetitive but it’s the food and the people of a place that truly distinguish it from others. Over the years we have practised and perfected the art of intermittent fasting – we eat 2 meals a day within a span of 6-8 hours without worrying about the number of calories we consume. We also ensure that we eat a lot of greens/fruits and try our level best to exercise even when we are on the move (which is sometimes VERY difficult ;-))
