Aanam Chashmawala:
I think the first and most important thing is figuring how much money you MAKE (not bill for, actually make in nets profits) and then dividing the same between all the categories. I’m a strong believer in putting my needs ahead of my wants, and the joy of seeing my assets appreciate means more to me than a luxury item I’m going to use once or twice a year, (which sometimes makes me feel I’m in the wrong industry lol). I’m not really qualified to give tips, but if I had one thing to share, it would be to write every single expense down so you can analyze where your money is going at the end of each month. This is where you can figure your potential savings and course-correct if needed.

You live by the motto ‘real girl’ and the same has translated into your brand. Please elaborate.
Aanam Chashmawala:
You know when I started blogging; magazines were all about the gloss. and blogging wasn’t really a thing (the way it is today) in India. so when I couldn’t relate to a lot of things in the print, and when I would struggle to find that perfect foundation shade – by mixing 3 others – I realized there was a content gap in the space that I wanted to try my hand at. as a media grad even, I didn’t know this could go on to be my job. I thought it was a hobby and then I was building up my profile for something in the space of beauty/fashion writing or styling, but what that led me to was far more beautiful.

What kind of diet do you follow to stay healthy & fit? Share your personal food preferences. 5 foods you love to incorporate into your diet?
Aanam Chashmawala:
I don’t believe in fad diets and I love my food far too much to really adhere to anything specific. My mantra is super basic – incorporate a balance of everything so that you’re happy with what you consume and also give your body what it needs.
