veronica vanij

In an exclusive conversation with Women Fitness India, actress Veronica Vanij opened up about her recent projects, personal challenges, and her unique blend of spirituality and stardom. From her experience working with industry stalwarts to navigating the ever-changing landscape of Bollywood, Veronica shared her candid thoughts, leaving us inspired.

Lights, Camera, Dhamaal!

Veronica’s latest movie, Non-Stop Dhamaal, has been making waves, and she recalls her time on set with fondness. “It was an amazing experience working with such great actors, especially Rajpal Yadav sir. I’ve always admired his comic timing and was thrilled to share the screen with him,” she said with a smile.

In a delightful twist, her character, Shreya Kapoor, is idolized by Rajpal’s character in the film. “Ironically, in real life, I’m the fan. It was such a joyful memory to act alongside him,” she added. A lesser-known anecdote from the set was Rajpal’s affectionate nickname for her—Mishraji, which also happens to be her real last name. “Not many people know this, so it became a memorable and fun part of the shoot.”

Breaking Barriers in Bollywood

As an outsider in the film industry, Veronica acknowledges the challenges of carving out her place. “It’s not easy, but I’ve learned to focus on doing my best with every opportunity that comes my way,” she shared. Despite the hurdles, she remains optimistic.

“The industry has evolved. Even nepo kids are facing struggles, and with platforms like OTT, there’s a broader scope for everyone. My advice to aspiring actors is simple: focus on yourself and work hard to deliver your best,” she said, radiating positivity and determination.

Empowering Women, On-Screen and Beyond

A staunch advocate for women’s empowerment, Veronica is heartened by the progress Bollywood has made in portraying strong, independent female characters. “We’ve seen a shift in scripts,” she remarked, citing performances by Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, and Taapsee Pannu as examples of bold and empowering roles.

She particularly admires Sushmita Sen’s portrayal in Aarya. “It’s inspiring to see stories that highlight women’s issues and celebrate their strength. It motivates me as both an actress and a woman.”

Finding Balance in a Fast-Paced World

With the pressures of social media and the demands of a public career, Veronica emphasizes the importance of maintaining mental and emotional health. “Social media is a double-edged sword, but I use it as a tool to connect with my audience and fans,” she explained. By focusing on the positive aspects, she ensures that her online presence remains a source of joy rather than stress.

Spiritual Roots and a Sacred Ritual

For Veronica Vanij, spirituality plays a vital role in grounding her amidst the hustle of life. She recently celebrated her birthday and the New Year by performing the Rudra Abhishek ceremony, a practice she holds close to her heart.

“I have a deep connection with Mahadev, and every year, I perform this ritual on my birthday. It’s my way of recharging and setting the tone for the year ahead,” she shared. Spirituality, she believes, keeps her centered and focused, influencing both her personal and professional journey.

A Star on the Rise

As Veronica Vanij continues to make her mark in Bollywood, her blend of talent, resilience, and authenticity shines through. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and self-belief, and her story serves as an inspiration to all who dare to dream.
