Colors on Your Radar for Summer 2024

From pale yellow to chocolate brown, here are the top color trends from the Spring/Summer 2024 runways.

Shades of Summer 2024

Charcoal Gray

Gray is a staple for many year-round wardrobe-wise, and the darker shade of charcoal gray was prominent on the runway this season. Elevate the hue of grey to a formal context with a halter, turtleneck midi dress while other brands opted for a unique play of cutouts. Charcoal gray is a tone that is versatile to style and easy to wear from a variety of silhouettes.

Royal Blue

Designers are all over royal blue for Spring/Summer 2024. With the dominating presence of such a rich color, designers offset the hue with other shades, primarily opting to pair it with light denim blue like Loewe or an off-white trouser like Burberry.

Apricot Crush

Designers have had this shade on their radar even before it was announced as the 2024 Color of the Year by Pantone, and amid the neutrals and cool tones that were rampant on the runways this season, the warm hue was a charming change of pace.

Shades of Green

Shades of green were evident on the runways this season, with brands using the color in color-blocked and monochromatic moments alike. On the runway, designers embraced a dark green leather pantsuit, while Balmain tapped into a more vibrant green, paired with an equally eye-catching pink skirt.

Dark Cherry Red

Dark red is always a sleek and sexy look, and this year, there’s no question that it was the sought-after color on the runways.

Metallic Mania

Metallics are commonly utilized as finishing touches—this year was no exception—but designers optimized the color trend this season by using it throughout their looks, effortlessly managing to find the balance between bold and refined.

Pastel Blue

On the opposite end of the spectrum of blues dominating this season’s runways lies pastel blue, a serene shade classic in the springtime. Effortlessly elegant and endlessly versatile, pastel blue is the perfect pop of color to add to your wardrobe without being too bold or overbearing.

Just like other classic springtime shades like pastel blue, pale yellow made an outstanding appearance on the Spring/Summer 2024 runways.

Lilac

A playful spin on the richness that purple typically possesses, lilac is making a comeback through next spring and summer. Coach tapped into the floral shade, with a youthful mini dress, worthy of a night out on the town. Easy to translate through different aesthetics and silhouettes, lilac is a gentle, playful pop of color to invest in for the spring and summer months.

Wedding White

As a classic neutral tone, white is a color that’s not going out of style anytime soon, and designers did not hold back when incorporating stark white hues into their collections this season. Instead of opting for cream or off-white shades, brands leaned into the traditional wedding white—without the wedding dress.

Chocolate Brown

In contrast to the many light, pastel colors seen on the Spring/Summer 2024 runways, chocolate brown has made a name for itself this season as a trendy nontraditional Spring/Summer color. This shade of brown is the perfect color for a monochromatic moment and is accessible through many garments, be it cargo pants, leather pieces, or a staple blazer.
