Namita Nayyar:

Naila you have been in the industry, and part of some amazing projects, tell us about your journey and how you decided to be an actor.

Naila Grrewal

Growing up in Delhi, my formative years were steeped in a rich tapestry of academic rigor and artistic exploration. I completed my education at The British School and then went on to pursue an undergraduate degree at Lady Shri Ram College For Women, Delhi University followed by my postgraduation from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
While I always gravitated towards dance and theatre since I was 4 or 5 years old, the decision to pursue acting as a full-fledged professional was less of a conscious choice and more of an accidental encounter with destiny. My experience in Tamasha served as the catalyst, igniting a passion for performing in front of the camera like never before. The magic of being on set, surrounded by the hustle-bustle, the electric energy of fellow creatives, and the intoxicating thrill of embodying a character in front of a magnificent moving camera became an irresistible pull for me. From that moment on, there was no looking back.

Namita Nayyar:

Your recent show on Netflix Maamla Legal Hai, had great appreciation from the audience, and season 2 is on its way, tell us about your experience working with Ravi Kishan and more.

Naila Grrewal

Well, the immense love pouring in for Maamla Legal Hai is heart-warming and reassuring! Working with Ravi sir on the sets of Maamla Legal Hai was an invaluable learning experience for me. My very first interaction with him was for a table read wherein he came in with childlike enthusiasm! – he was so excited to create and collaborate that it gave me the extra push to add more to my character and script. From his unwavering dedication to his infectious enthusiasm (and of course, his quirky one-liners) every moment was a collaborative masterclass in itself.
