Skin issues that accompany spring and summer are allergies, itching, rashes, or inflamed skin because of pollutants and pollen that are in the air. The skin is one of the first to bear the brunt of irritants. Summer Skin care is important to heal & protect.
The skin absorbs moisture during spring in the form of an emulsion of oil and water. For normal to dry skin, use a sunscreen before going out in the sun. If you are indoors, use moisturizer.
Summer Skin Care Tips
Hydration will stay on top as the cold weather transitions to the steamier seasons; it’s now about lightweight, water-based moisture.
Step 1: Cleansing
Opt for light yet effective cleansing solutions like micellar water. Cleanse your skin every night to remove dirt, pollutants, make-up, sweat, and oil secretions. Select cleansing gel for dry skin, cleansing milk for combination skin, or face wash for oily skin, and medicated cleanser for acne-prone skin. Don’t wash your face with soap and water more than 2 or 3 times a day. Alkaline soaps can disrupt the normal pH balance. Unlike drugstore soaps that contain a huge amount of fragrance and parabens, natural and organic soaps contain only natural ingredients and help to avoid skin irritations and rashes. Dry skin can be taken care of with the help of soaps that have a high level of natural fatty acids or those that contain shea butter. However, those who have oily skin can use soaps that contain aloe vera or cucumber and unclog the pores while removing excess oil from the skin.

When the weather turns too dry, get your hands on a product that boosts plumping and firming or something with soothing ingredients to diminish redness or irritation. Don’t apply facial scrub on pimples, acne, or rash. Select cleansing gel for dry skin, cleansing milk for combination skin, or face wash for oily skin and medicated cleanser for acne-prone skin.
Step 2: Serum
As the weather warms, the effects are visible on our skin. Aging signs become visible, caused by lifestyle choices and not the hands of time— a serum helps to illuminate the appearance of your skin tone and refine the look of pores, while giving your complexion a boost of hydration.
A serum that consists of moisturizing but light-feel oils is another way to banish summer dryness and keep your skin feeling comfy and glowing.
Step 3: Moisturizer
In the warmer months, hydration is just as paramount as it was before, but lightweight formulas begin to reign supreme. Look for gel- and water-based moisturizers to help protect against moisture loss. Apply a liquid moisturiser under make-up, before using foundation. For oily or combination skin, apply sunscreen gel.

Honey is a powerful humectant and attracts moisture to the skin. Honey helps to relieve dryness and suits all skin types. For oily skin, mix honey with egg white or lemon juice and apply it on the skin daily, wash off after 15 minutes with plain water. Aloe vera gel is also ideal for moisturizing all skin types.
Step 4: Sunscreen
For oily or combination skin, apply sunscreen gel. With sunnier days ahead, make sure you’re applying a sunscreen that’s at least SPF 50 for peak protection. And not just on your face and body, you need an SPF in your lip balm too!
