Weddings are a time of excitement, stress, anxiety, over eating, partying, shopping and meeting lots of people who will give you different opinions on how to look your best on your big day.
I firmly believe that looking good on the outside is all about what’s happening Inside. According to me, the first and most important thing you need is adequate rest because the studies show that sleep deprived people look less attractive. Proper rest and recovery help with hormone regulation and healing occurs when person gets enough sleep.
Second thing which you need to make sure of is DETOX. To achieve that, it’s very important to give your digestive system some rest. Eight hours after eating our last meal the process of digestion, absorption and assimilation are completed and body enters detox mode. To keep it in detox mode, keep at least one day a week where you have only fruit and vegetable juices with ginger and lemon. This will help to make up for the days of over indulgence that are inevitable during weddings.
Thirdly there is no alternative to exercise during this phase. Exercise will help you get rid of any stiffness, water retention or puffiness which may occur from late nights and irregular meals. Exercise makes you happier, keeps your weight under check, increases your energy levels, and helps with relaxation and sleep.
Wedding is the time of hectic activity with an increase in stress and anxiety. MEDITATION and MASSAGE can really help to get your balance back mentally and physically. Meditation leads to improved self-image and a positive outlook, and massage helps decrease blood pressure and improve blood circulation while helping you calm down.
Lastly, some foods to include in your diet are coconut water, seeds, amla, berries, avocado, dark chocolate, nuts, green leafy vegetables and salmon. These are high in good fats and antioxidants which help you to build your immunity, handle stress, recover faster and bring the glow back to your face.
Remember to enjoy every minute of this process and look at it as a reward for yourself rather than a task to be completed because you can be your best only when you are well taken care of first.
