Hi guys, recently I put on a lot of weight (15 kgs)
because of depression. Anyway, I have lost quite a bit but
am having a lot of problems getting my stomach flat like
it used to be. I am happy with the rest of my body but,
even when I suck in, my stomach sticks out as though I am
pregnant or something! Please help me, I would really love
any suggestions on what I could do about my bulge. I do
physical activity most days and am reasonably good abut
what I eat. Feel free to email me:)

Hi there, I just stumbled upon your site tonight and it is
terrific! I have found myself in a difficult spot...one
that involves losing 100 pounds. I am in perimenopause and
struggle with symptoms that lead to my overeating.
What happened today is this...my husband took family
photos which he picked up and showed me. I saw a photo of
me...I think I was surprised at my size...shocked
maybe...denial ...and I cried for hours.
So. its time to face the music...I don't know what I'm
afraid of...
If there is anyone in Canada, I'm from Ontario that would
like to share stories or buddy please contact me. I'd love
to hear from anyone who has been there or would like to
encourage me as I would them.
Thanks so much

Hey guys! I am a 16 yr old girl. I have always had a
problem with the lower half of my stomach. I really would
like to get it flat! I do so much exercise to try and rid
of it but nothing seems to work! I go to the gym at least
4 times a week and aerobics about 3 times. Also a lot of
running and cycling when I am bored. I would like to lose
a stone. How long would this take? I am about 5 foot 2 and
weigh about 8 and a half stone. I need a diet plan as well
because I think that is where I am going wrong, I love my
chocolate and biscuits! So someone please help, I am in
dire need of some advice! Ill just wait here with my
double chocolate gateaux now and wait for a reply. lol!
PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I have been going to the gym religiously for almost 1
year now 3 to 4 times a week doing lots of resistance
training and cardio (treadmill & Arc Machine). I am 4'11"
and when I started my weight loss program I was 203
pounds. Since then I have gone down to 159 pounds. My
question is why do I hit plateaus that last 3 to 4 weeks
to end? I am happy with my progress but I would like it to
go a little faster, if at all possible.

Hi, I am a fifteen year old in need of some help. I am
20-30 lbs. overweight. Now that might nit seem like much
to you, but in high school this amount of weight can ruin
your life. I can't help eating. It's like an addiction or
disease that I can't seem to shake. Please respond to
this. I need help. I've spent the last 5 years of my life
like this, watching all my friends getting dressed up and
looking wonderful and then looking at the mirror and
becoming totally disgusted with what I see. I feel that
I'm too young for this. Please, someone who is out there
that can give me some help or advice, please do. I don't
feel that I will be able to live like this anymore. Please
respond. If this message has no result, than I know that I
will feel truly alone. Thank you for your thoughts.

For the longest time I've
wanted to firm up my stomach and arms but never had the
time to workout, or when I did I'd exercise for a couple
days before I would just give up. luckily this summer I've
started a fitness routine that I've been sticking to
:jogging for 40 minutes, followed by 100 crunches, and
weight lifting. so far i think I'm on a good track to
losing the fat only I haven't changed my unhealthy eating
habits and although I will try to eat more nutritious
foods I'm sure that I won't completely let go of the foods
I normally eat (ex., a lot of bread!). yet besides that
fact I'm hoping that by mid august I'll finally have a
somewhat flat tummy. will I? or because of what I eat is
it not possible? Help!!

Staying thin and keeping
your muscle tone is no secret. Love yourself and your body
and eat fruits, vegetables and lean protein. Also,
exercise every day...even if it's 30 minutes. Find
something you like. I stay a size 4-6 and never think
about it because I want my body to be a healthy one, not
one full of junk food, butter, flour, sugar and fat.

Hi everyone! I am 37 years
old, 5'5" and weigh 190lbs. I have been on Zoloft for 2
years now. I have gained 45 pounds within a year! For the
past three months I was restricting my calories to 1300 a
day, including 8 glasses of water with a touch of
unsweetened cranberry juice (suppose to help flush the fat
out of your system), drank low fat whey protein shakes
daily, ate fruits, veges, fiber and protein, lifted
weights for an hour a day 4 times weekly and did an hour
of aerobics daily and I lost not one pound! I am very
discouraged, and from what I read on antidepressants, its
hard to get the weight off, almost impossible while still
taking the meds. Has anyone been able to lose weight while
taking an antidepressant and if so, what did you do that
worked for you?? I would love to be healthy, toned and
happy instead of fat, flabby and very unhappy with myself.
Please email me!! Your help and advice will be greatly
appreciated!! Thank you!!

Hi Ladies. I live north of
the Detroit area. I am wondering if there is anyone in the
area, close to my age, who is interested not in weight
loss alone but also in building muscle. I have always have
that stocky (butch) build and I decided that I'm going to
make the best of it. If men are going to call me butch
then I'm REALLY going to give them a reason to. Lots of
conflicting info out there. I need to find another woman
out there who shares my goals as the youngster boys at GNC
look at me like I'm crazy and a lost cause.

I am 36, 5'4”. I started
on March 15, 2004 when I was 230 pounds. As of May 2,
2004 about 6 weeks I am 197 and have dropped 33 pounds.
I do weight lifting about 3-4 times a week; I do the
treadmill or walk EVERYDAY, apart from that even on the
days I do weight lifting. I don’t eat unless I got to. I
know it must not be the best way but its working for me.
I am very addicted to food and trying to stay away from
it as mush as possible. I might on a good day do 200
calories. Not for everyone but only way I know how to do
it with the results that I am looking for. My goal is
150 bye end of summer. It takes so much will power and
determination not to put that food in my mouth.

Hi Ladies, this site is
amazing. I too enjoy the motivating emails. I need to lose
about 100 pounds and am on a mission. I have lost 18
already. I have been doing water aerobics and working out on
my elliptical trainer opposite days. Does anyone have any
great mid ab excercises? How about with the workout ball? I
am also trying to find excercises for my back area just
under the shoulder blades, and suggestions especially with
pictures is appreciated. If anyone is from Winnipeg and
looking for a motivation buddy please drop me a line!

Are there any exercises that
will decrease more of my stomach/upper arms area than my
buttocks in hips? Are there any particular programs that
concentrate on my upper body while leaving my lower body
relatively untouched?

Hi, I came across this site by
chance and now I'm totally addicted! A lot of useful
information indeed. By the way, I'm thinking of joining a
gym (from the past 7 months!) I'm not overweight, I only
want to tone my body, but my laziness gets the better of me.
I want some serious motivation girls, so if you could help
me, I'd be glad. While on the topic, has anyone experienced
any changes in the menstrual cycle after regular work-outs?
One of my friends had this problem so I am a bit
apprehensive.
Please get in touch with me.
Cheers!!!

Hello everyone! I am an active
26 year old who recently returned to full time school and am
looking for an email exercise buddy to keep me motivated in
my exercise. I had to move from a temperate to a frigid
climate to go to school last Sept. and I'm finding it hard
to motivate myself to exercise as I can't go outside! I'll
be going to the gym, but I prefer the great outdoors.
Thanks!

opposed to working out at home, but I cannot find any
articles on the web. Please tell me any of your experiences
