Nidhi Mohan Kamal

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?

Ms. Nidhi Mohan Kamal:

I keep switching things regularly as our bodies get used to one form of workout, but mostly I try to keep a balance between weight training, Yoga, Cardio etc. Dance and some outdoors are added here and there often just to make it fun.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Tell us about the daily diet that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?

Ms. Nidhi Mohan Kamal:

As most people know I follow a vegan diet, I stay off animal products and supplements advocated a lot these days, my mantra is to eat in moderation and the right kind of foods. As for physical fitness there are no set definitions of fitness, you have to decide where and how much you’re willing to challenge your body and just consistently work in that direction. These are choices you make daily for long periods of time which would determine the outcome.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Share with us your tips for a healthy weight loss post pregnancy.

Ms. Nidhi Mohan Kamal:

I think the number 1 Mistake women make is not taking care during the pregnancy, the Indian psychology of resting and eating double does the damage and post pregnancy since you already have a huge responsibility of a tiny human, adding weight problems just crashes most women. So, if women keep active, keep eating clean and healthy and keep hitting the gym during pregnancy, the post pregnancy weight loss and shaping up would be automatic.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:

Ms. Nidhi Mohan Kamal:

One word, watch what you eat like a hawk. Food is going to contribute a lot to correct your problem. Cut out processed food, alcohol and junk to zero. Start some physical activity and most importantly be patient, this would take time but end results would be better.
